Anyone else excited for this exciting time of year? We are so close to the “festivities” of July 4th. Whether or not you have previously celebrated in the area, we are here to give you tips on celebrating July 4th Greece NY.
Greece Town Hall: Old Fashioned 4th of July
This celebration, held on Tuesday July 4th, involves everything from kid-friendly activities to music classics. Held at the Greece Town Hall, there will be a 5K Freedom Run, Scooby Stars and Stripes Fun Run for Kids, food trucks, a live performance by Beatlemagic, a live performance by Mickey Dolenz, and fireworks.
The 5K Freedom Run will take place at 2 Vince Tiffany Blvd Rochester, NY 14612 from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, and the Scooby Fun Run for Kids will start at 9:00 AM. Tickets are $25, and you can register up until June 29th. After the race, there will be activities and food vendors at the Greece Town Hall Campus! Come join your community in a race around the town of Greece followed by a day of fun for you and your family.
Later in the evening, the Greece Town Hall will be hosting live performances. Beatlemagic, the “Ultimate Beatles Tribute Band” will kick off the night with their performance beginning at 6:00 PM. Mickey Dolenz, the voice of the Monkees, will follow with a performance at 8:00 PM. The fireworks display will begin at dusk!
City of Rochester
If you’re looking for something outside the town, the City of Rochester will of course be hosting their annual July 4th celebration in the downtown area. Festivities will begin on the Main Street Bridge,
from South Ave to Exchange Street. The Judah Sealy Band will be performing at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (featuring conductor Ward Stare) at 9:00 p.m. Fireworks display over the Genesee River will start at 10:00 p.m.
